Kubb
Introduction
Kubb is a very old Viking game also known as ‘throwing logs’, which is still very popular in Sweden, particularly on the island of Gotland.
It is a ‘partygame’ which is played outdoors with 2 to 12 participants. Everyone can get involved, young or old. It’s great fun for the whole family.
The players are divided into two teams and take place behind their respective baseline. The aim of the game is to knock down the opponents Kubb’s (Knights) by throwing batons. Once all the Kubbs are knocked down, the team must then knock down the King to win the game.
It’s incredibly addictive and seriously good fun. Kubb is easy to learn but not so quick to master. If you are looking for a game for the whole family to enjoy then look no further.
